Burnside is a specialist manufacturer of
all types of Hydraulic Cylinders including Double Acting, Single Acting and Plunger Cylinders. We look after the entire life cycle of the cylinder, from Design, R&D, Prototyping, right through to Testing and 'Fit and Function' Analysis and Production Manufacturing.
Size range
We manufacture cylinders in a wide variety of sizes within the following range:
- Ø32mm to Ø180mm Bore
- Lengths of up to 8 metres
- Working Pressure up to 350 Bar
- Mountings and Oil Connections to customer's wishes

Other Services
Design
Our Dedicated Design team work hand in hand with the customer to ensure we offer the optimal design. Every design is customer specific, to satisfy their unique needs. Our experienced
Design Team offers simultaneous design of cylinders to help our customers
accelerate new product development for early market launch. All design work is carried out on up to date CAD systems and a fully integrated ERP system, which links the information directly to production.

Research & Development
Along side our World Class Manufacturing Processes, we have a purpose built Research & Development facility, which works closely with our Design Department. Together they constantly improve existing designs and develop new and exciting technologies, which give our customers that extra edge in the market place. Extensive In-house Bench testing of new designs is integral to our philosophy of
working as a long-term partner with our customers. Burnside Autocyl is dedicated
to the ongoing development of its Research & Development Department
in order to offer complete solutions to its customers.

Finishing
All of our cylinders undergo a chemical pretreatment process. This consists of:
- Degreasing
- Cleaning
- Iron Phosphating
This guarantees optimal paint adhesion and finish. We offer colours and finishes to customer's own RAL specification. We pack all cylinders to the highest European standards, ensuring they reach the customer's door in perfect condition.
